So far, TiDB Internals is under bootstrap, and thus we do not want to set bar too high so that we get stuck by ourselves.
When you think of how to request a new category, post a request under the meta category and our admins will take care of it. Before we create redundant categories and it grows too many, we do not setup a strict constraint for creating a new category. But let the community coordinate things properly naturally.
When you want to create a new category, there are some things to consider in any discussion replies below:
- What is this category for? Why should people select this category for their topic?
- How is this different than the other categories we already have?
- Do we need this category?
- Should we merge this with another category, or split it into more categories?
